Typically, couples book me about 6-13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame :)!
For portrait sessions, scheduling and availability is first come, first serve and also fluctuates seasonally throughout the year. Fill out an inquiry form to tell me all about what type of session you’re wanting, and we can discuss availability during our free consultation call!
For weddings, when you receive your contract you will be able to sign and make the first payment online; the first payment is a flat non-refundable retainer fee of $900. The remaining payment can be included in a payment plan to be paid by 1 month before your event.
For portrait sessions, when you receive your contract you will be able to sign and make the full payment online prior to the session date. The full payment is a retainer to hold your date.
Why YES, I most certainly do!! I love traveling so much!! If you're set on a venue outside the Bay Area, then just add on the cost of a +1-night stay, +car rental and/or airfare :).
If your wedding gets cancelled by force majeure, we can discuss the possibility of transferring your non-refundable retainer fee + a reschedule fee to reschedule a new date upon availability.
*The first payment is a non-refundable retainer at all situations.
Don’t worry, in the wise words of Sonny + cher, “I got you babe!!” I’m all about channeling your inner model, and trust me - it is there ;)! I’ll walk you through a good mix of planned traditional poses, and candids that are elicited through fun promptings that get you moving - or as I like to call ‘plan-dids’! I usually talk throughout the entire session, guiding you through and encouraging you along the way!
Let me tell you, I'll show up to your wedding no matter what unless I'm dead or sick with something contagious. If any of this happens, the second photographer will take over and lead the day for me but I'll still be the one editing your images and delivering your final gallery.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. I do however work with several talented videographers that I'd be happy to refer you to!
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically for weddings, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive an online digital gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
Turnaround time for portrait sessions is 2-3 weeks via an online digital gallery with high-resolution images for your own personal download.
For weddings + elopements, you can expect about 60 to 100 images per hour of photographing. For portraits, you can expect about 60-80 images per hour of photography. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding or portrait package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Let me tell you, I'll show up to your wedding no matter what unless I'm dead or sick with something contagious! In my 3 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding or portrait session, the second photographer will take over and lead the day for me; I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. If necessary, I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement. Lastly, I'll still be the one editing your images and delivering your final gallery!
Sooooo we did the darn thing n’ got you hitched, said your “I do’s”, cried happy tears, danced our butts off, did some cake face smashing, popped them bottles and drank alllllll the champagne! MAZEL TOV honey! While you’re in post-wedding day bliss enjoying your honeymoon, I’m grinding hard to select the very best images from your day, edit, proof, and then design your album if that’s part of your package. Digital gallery delivery takes approximately 4-6 weeks, with an added 1-2 weeks for your printed album to be designed, proofed, approved by you, and then put into production.
HECK YEAH! I live to make you say “Wow!!” when you get your gallery. Share your photos to your hearts desire. Or don’t. Up to you babe!
Should you share any of your images, I would love if you would credit me by tagging on Instagram, Facebook, and link right here to our website, heyhoneyphotography.com!
Great question! I do not release RAW files. Part of what you hire a professional photographer to do is to capture and edit these photos in a specific style. The RAW files are not the finished project and are not representative of my work.
Additionally, I have found most clients do not have the necessary hardware + software needed to edit them; and I cannot provide guidance on that area for people.
Your contract states that the final output of your photos will be in JPEG format, and I have taken the utmost care to ensure the photos delivered are of the highest quality and are consistent with the styled I was hired for.
Our contract disallows you from manipulating photos I have taken. A photographer's work is copyrighted, meaning that from the creation of the photo, they own the rights to the photos until the time of their death. The subject of the photo does not affect the ownership of the copyright.
By hiring me for your wedding, portrait session, or event, you are granted the right to use these photos for your own personal usage, but not to change the photo itself. Any changes made to the work of Hey Honey Photography is a violation of the Copyright law of 1976.
